We had a very special guest staying at the Inn on Thursday:
Randolph Westphal from Germany who is on his 6th tour around the world - by bike and accompanied only by his two Husky dogs. Which is already amazing by itself but if you hear the story he has to tell it is even more impressive. Randolph started his first tour 26 years ago after his first cancer surgery and the diagnosis that he will only have another 6 - 12 months to live. Now, 28 cancer surgeries and 40 leg surgeries (he had a terrible accident in Argenitina in 1996) later he is visiting Lunenburg, Nova Scotia as part of his tour and is spreading his story as a motivation for all of us: NEVER GIVE UP!

Welcome To The Rum Runner Inn

Directly located on the waterfront, we are pleased to offer our guests 13 individually appointed rooms. Enjoy our panoramic view of Lunenburg’s harbour, golf course and the local architecture.

The Bluenose II is undertaking a major rebuild. She will return to sailing soon. We, in Lunenburg are very proud that this project is taking place at the Lunenburg Shipyard, the same site of construction of the original Bluenose in the year 1921.

The Rum Runner Inn is located in the building where the sails for the original Bluenose were manufactured.

From your veranda, watch the ever changing enthralling play of light and sea life against the marvelous backdrop.
